DJ Global Inventory Plunge Suggests Oil Market Undersupplied
[Dow Jones] Global oil inventories fell by 19 million barrels in the fourth quarter, implying the oil market was in balance even before OPEC implemented its production cuts, says Bernstein. Assuming the producer group and non-OPEC suppliers fully comply with their commitments to reduce supply, Bernstein expects the market to be undersupplied by as much as 700,000 barrels a day in the first quarter. That should lead to a reduction in inventories of another 56 million barrels.
