New Exxon CEO Backs Paris Agreement, Climate Solutions
In his first public commentary as chief executive, Exxon Mobil’s (XOM) Darren Woods backs the Paris climate deal in a company blog post and suggests solutions will require effort by businesses, governments and consumers. Woods also extols the virtues of natural gas in reducing emissions, reiterates XOM’s support of a carbon tax and gives an overview of the company’s research on carbon capture, biofuels and other technologies.
