[Dow Jones] India’s oil demand growth will likely slow to a rise 6.7% this year, compared with 10.2% in 2016 thanks to the government’s demonetization policy, says Matthew Chew, a senior analyst at S&P Global Platt, but notes the effect from the demonetization policy will not be long term. Jet fuel demand will see a sharp rise on the back on improved income and higher demand for air travel.
