The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report that storage levels grew by 60.29 billion cubic feet of gas during the week ended May 12, according to the average forecast of 14 analysts, brokers and traders surveyed by The Wall Street Journal. For the May 12 week, the median estimate is for an increase of 60 bcf. Estimates range from an increase of 54 bcf to an increase of 66 bcf. The estimate for May 12 compares to 71 bcf added to storage in the same week last year and a five-year average build of 87 bcf for that week.
