Speaking ahead of Thursday’s OPEC meeting, he says Iraq will comply with OPEC on cuts agreed to at the meeting and does not intend to flood the market with oil whenever the agreement expires. Under OPEC’s current production cuts Iraq’s output is capped at around 4.3 million barrels a day. “The production capacity will reach about 5 million barrels but that doesn’t mean it will be pumped into the market,” he says.
