Bank of Russia Sees Another Oil Slump Ahead
Due to strong exports out of Nigeria and Libya, slowing economic growth in China and “much weaker demand in the energy market,” oil will gradually decline the next year–eventually hitting $25/barrel by mid-2018, the Bank of Russia predicted in its June monetary-policy report. Brent futures were last below $25 in 2003; they bottomed last year at $27.
