Joswick of the PIRA Energy Group, part of S&P Global Platts. The majority of those barrels “have to go to Asia because that’s where the demand is,” Mr. Joswick said Tuesday in Dubai at the Platts Middle East Crude Oil Summit. The U.S. hit 2 million barrels a day of crude exports in October, with China the single largest buyer of U.S. crude at around 300,000 barrels a day. Mr. Joswick said he expects U.S. shale oil production to continue to grow even if prices fall again.
