A meeting to be held next week will bring together foreign investors as well as private and government stakeholders in the oil-and-gas industry, the ministry said. The ministry said that when oil is priced at $50 or $60 a barrel, it can’t apply the same fiscal framework for investors interested in exploration that was in place when the price was $150 a barrel. The fourth-largest African oil producer, with an estimated output of around 220,000 barrels a day, Gabon owns huge oil-and-gas reserves, which the government said it wants to offer to new investors after softening its hydrocarbons code.
