The merged entity would have a combined refining capacity of 1.058 million b/d across seven refineries in Japan; Idemitsu Kosan’s three refineries with a combined 500,000 b/d capacity and Showa Shell’s four group refineries with a combined capacity of 558,000 b/d, including the 143,000 b/d Sodegaura refinery operated by Fuji Oil in which Showa Shell has a 6.57% stake. ?
