Ltd, or KOMIPO, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday to explore upstream, midstream and downstream projects in LNG, Vitol said in a press release. Vitol has an existing long-term Supply and Purchase Agreement with KOMIPO to supply 400,000 mt of LNG annually for 10 years, beginning in 2015. Vitol is one of the largest independent LNG traders, with over 7.4 million mt of LNG delivered in 2017. KOMIPO is one of the biggest public energy companies in South Korea, accounting for 8% of domestic power supply, generating and supplying electricity across the country.
