Amec Foster Wheeler與KOC簽訂前端工程設計合同

KUWAIT CITY — Amec Foster Wheeler has been awarded a front end engineering design (FEED) contract by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to upgrade Oil Gathering Center GC-24.

This project?continues Amec Foster Wheeler’s work with KOC on major projects since 2004, which has recently included three new gathering centers and strategic pipeline projects in North Kuwait.

“Kuwait Oil Company is one of our key customers and this further strengthening of our working partnership follows our success in delivering projects for them and management?of the original GC-24 Project, which was completed six months ahead of schedule,” ?Roberto Penno, group president of Amec Foster Wheeler’s Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Southern Europe business, said.

KOC is planning to increase oil production?by up to 1 MMbpd by 2020 and to maintain this for 10 years. Critical to the expansion, this project?will enhance the existing GC-24 facility, increasing capacity by 50,000 bopd from the current level of 165,000 bopd, as well as optimizing existing facilities to cater for the expected high level of water in the mix of crude oil and gas.
