China’s natural gas import hit a record high in January

Bloomberg reported news of China’s general administration of custom, saying that the demand for natural gas increased with the need of warming in winter, together with the amount of natural gas imported from abroad by natural gas pipeline in January, 2016.

Last month, China imported a total of 2.76 million tons of natural gas through the pipeline, an increase of 28% compared with that in January, 2015, and also set the first record value since 2010. In addition, China also bought 2.46 million tons of compressed natural gas, an increase of 6% compared with that in January of last year, and reached the second peak value ever before.
