HOUSTON – An ExxonMobil-operated exploration well on the Skipjack prospect offshore Guyana was unsuccessful, according to partner Hess.However, the partners’ Liza-3 appraisal well on the Stabroek block delivered sound results. Hess expects estimated recoverable resources to be at the upper end of the previously announced range of 800 MMboe-1.4 Bboe. At the Joint Development Area of Malaysia/Thailand (Hess 50%), the operator shut down the field during 3Q to commission the booster compressor project.In the North Sea, Hess’ net production from the Aker BP-operated Valhall field was down this summer, due mainly to a reduced drilling program.The same applied at the Hess-operated South Arne field in the Danish North Sea, following a planned maintenance shutdown.
