Outlook for European Oil Sector Looking Up, Says Barclays
After more than two tough years, things are looking up for Europe’s integrated oil sector. Though fourth quarter earnings for the sector missed consensus by nearly 40%, the sector was free cash flow positive in the period and managed the first quarter on quarter decline in net debt since the third quarter of 2014, says Barclays. “We are increasingly confident that a number of companies will be cash flow neutral after capex and dividends this year,” the bank says.
