India is seeking to lure investment in its oil-and-gas sector with rejiggered terms for a new licensing round–its first since 2009, says the country’s minister of state for petroleum and natural gas. Speaking on the sidelines of the CERAWeek conference in Houston, Dharmendra Pradhan says the country aims to double its domestic oil-and-gas production in the next 5 years. Companies will have the opportunity to submit bids for new acreage in July under simplified terms, he notes.
