Outlook for World’s Biggest Oil Companies to Improve
The prospect of higher, more stable oil prices and extensive spending cuts in recent years will lead to earnings growth of 13% to 18% for “integrated” oil companies in 2017, according to Moody’s Investor’s Service. Lower production costs will also allow companies such as Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA.LN) and BP to improve margins in their upstream units. Deal activity is likely to increase and the financial condition of global companies that produce and refine oil and gas will improve as well, Moody’s analysts said today.
