The 1,524 square km block holds estimated 3P reserves of 500M barrels of crude equivalent and could produce up to 300K b/d within 8 years, Pemex says. It lies close to the Trion block for which it has already partnered with BHP Billiton. Pemex also plans to seek private partners to bid in an upcoming shallow-water auction.
