High refining rate in the U.S. at above 94% amid lagging demand resulted in a counter-seasonal build in gasoline, which drove prices lower overnight. Societe Generale warns if American refiners continue to churn out products at high speed, it would weaken prices and shrink refining margins, which “could limit refinery run and weaken crude buying and prices.”
