DJ Libya, Nigeria Oil Production Hardly Sustainable
Intensifying civil strife in Libya and Nigeria stand to hamper the countries’ long-term oil production despite near-term output rebounds, RBC commodities-strategy chief Helima Croft tells WSJ. She notes security remains a major impediment for many international oil companies in both countries. The firms are becoming increasingly uncertain of their past investments there, especially as militants have apparently advanced in their ability to attack oil infrastructures.
