U.S. oil futures have risen 16% since falling into bear market territory in June. Prices exceeded $50 a barrel for the first time in two months in July, but have been unable to hold above the closely watched level as supply concerns have seeped back into the market. Light, sweet crude for September delivery settled down 19 cents, or 0.4%, at $49.39 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent, the global benchmark, fell 5 cents, or 0.1%, to $52.37 a barrel. ?
