Low prices — for both imported and locally produced gas — and cold weather in the first quarter boosted consumption in Romania where demand has been falling since the start of the decade.
“2017 experienced a gas consumption revival,” Romgaz said in its first-half earnings statement.
After the big six EU gas markets of Germany, UK, Italy, France, the Netherlands and Spain, Romania is one of the largest of the EU’s gas markets.
