The swung to loss was primarily attributable to increased financing costs, which jumped to $154.2 million from $96.8 million. For the six months to June-end, the oil company recorded a pretax loss of $3.6 million, compared with $99.3 million pretax profit in the comparative year ago period, on a revenue of $546.1 million and $367.1 million, respectively. Operating profit, which excludes financing costs, totaled $141.4 million, versus $185.8 million. First half production increased 35% to around 82 thousand barrels of oil per day. ?
