中國石化新聞網訊 據路透社8月31日消息，美國能源部新聞發言人周四在一份公告中表示，能源部將釋放50萬桶戰略石油儲備原油來應對熱帶風暴哈維帶來的影響，這是自2012年以來美國首次從戰略石油儲備中釋放原油。
據公告稱，此次釋放的原油將交付至菲利浦斯66位于路易斯安娜州萊克查爾斯的煉油廠。該煉油廠沒有受到風暴的影響。
據公告稱，此次釋放的原油包括20萬桶低硫原油和30萬桶含硫原油。建立于1970年代的美國戰略石油儲備當前儲備有6.79億桶的石油。
