(0857.HK) on Thursday reported a nearly three-fold rise in its net profit for 2017, partly helped by higher sales. The oil-and-gas company said its net profit rose to 22.80 billion Chinese yuan (US$3.60 billion) from CNY7.86 billion a year ago. However, the result was lower than the CNY32.80 billion net profit forecast of 20 analysts polled by FactSet. Its revenue in 2017 rose to CNY2.02 trillion from CNY1.62 trillion a year earlier.
