A letter of intent (LoI) has been signed with Aibel for the construction of the processing platform topside for phase 2 of the Johan Sverdrup project, with a separate LoI issued to Aker and Kv?rner for field center modifications. The value of the contracts to be awarded to Aibel and Aker-Kv?rner are approximately $1 billion (NOK 8 billion) and $435 million (NOK 3.4 billion), respectively. Phase 1 of the Johan Sverdrup development is planned to startup in late 2019, according to Statoil. Production start for phase 2 is planned in 2022.
