Fourth-quarter production averaged 722,000 boe/d, in line with Q2 after a Q3 slowdown to 691,000 boe/d and up 1% year on year, the company said, noting that the latest figures are provisional and that the company will present full quarterly figures on February 28. By region, the largest increase in 2018 was in the Europe, Africa and Brazil region, which boosted its full year output 19% year on year to an average 165,000 boe/d, including a 20% year on year increase to 174,000 boe/d in Q4. The North America region also upped output by 1% year on year to 175,000 boe/d for the full year, including a fourth-quarter annualized gain of 1% to 179,000 boe/d. By contrast, Repsol’s largest producing region Latin America and the Caribbean saw annual output slip 1% year on year to 295,000 boe/d, with the Q4 figure below this, at 289,000 boe/d, down 7% year on year.
