In 2018, PGNiG signed 2 long-term contracts with Venture Global LNG for the purchase of LNG. One of them relates to receiving cargoes of LNG from the terminal at Calcasieu Pass in Louisiana, which is due to start operations in 2022. ?We congratulate our American partners on obtaining final approval. We closely follow the progress of both projects developed by Venture Global LNG. From 2022, we will receive 1 mln tonnes of LNG from the Calcasieu Pass annually, which equals approx. 1.35 billion m3 of gas after regasification, and the same volume from the Plaquemines terminal, which will be built a year later. This is an important element of our portfolio of LNG contracts. It will allow us not only to provide supplies for Poland, but also to trade LNG on the global market?, commented Piotr Wo?niak, CEO of PGNiG. According to the announcement of Venture Global LNG, the company will immediately commence construction activities at Cameron Parish in Louisiana. Venture Global LNG, apart from PGNiG, has signed long-term SPA contracts for LNG deliveries with Shell, BP, Edison, Galp and Repsol. ?
