石油圈Background:
The Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has this week announced a small oil and gas fields auction for investors wishing to conduct exploration and production in the country. The new bidding round is in keeping with the government’s policy of stimulating domestic hydrocarbon production.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has redoubled efforts to kick-start domestic oil and gas production from 46 contract areas. Within these areas, 67 small oil and gas fields are spread over nine onshore and offshore sedimentary basins, which to date have been commercially undeveloped.
