General Overview：
Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (Orpic) wishes to procure specialized equipment in the form of high volume mobile water pumps and ancillary hose trailers for use by its industrial fire brigade in the Sultanate of Oman. The equipment shall be compliant with international standards. The primary purpose of the equipment will be to provide initial response to crude storage tank fires.

Brief Description of the Scope of Work：
1.A skid loading system is preferred and the skid loading vehicle shall be capable of transporting pump assemblies, hydraulic units and foam systems. Hoses shall be transported by separate 40′ containerised trailers. Only reputable brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Renault, IVECO and the like will be considered.
2.In order to meet operational requirements, expedient production and delivery of the equipment is essential.
3.Where vehicles are suggested as part of the systems they shall be designed and manufactured to work properly in adverse desert environments with temperatures up to 55 degrees celcius and 95% humidity.
4.All equipment shall be new (model to be same year as a work order) and of the most current design for Fire Department use.
5.Used or refurbished equipment shall not be acceptable.
6.Any deviation from this scope of supply or specifications shall be clearly stated in the proposal.
7.All technology needs to be in compliance with proven technology in terms of bulk storage firefighting.
8.Tenderer shall demonstrate where and in what situations the proposed high volume pumps and monitors systems have been used during large scale scenarios (e.g. Buncefield, UK, Exxon Mobil Baton Rouge, USA etc.). References and contact details shall be supplied.
9.A mandatory site visit shall be held upon tender closing where tenderers shall visit the Orpic facilities and provide technical expertise or clarify questions to submit to Orpic.
10.Orpic shall visit each tenderer as part of the tender evaluation process to witness the proposed system in full operation.
