The latest rig count data from Baker Hughes shows that the US oil-rig count climbed for a second-straight week, while the Canadian and International counts dropped.In their latest report, the total rig count in the U.S. climbed to 508. The oil-rig count climbed again by seven to 414 while gas-rig count increased by four 92. Miscellaneous rigs remained unchanged, according to the report.In the U.S., the highest number of rigs continues to be in Texas, with 245 total as of Sept. 9, marking a four rig increase from the previous week’s report. Oklahoma saw a decrease of four rigs to 62, while Louisiana saw an increase of eight rigs, up to 43. New Mexico saw a decrease of two to 28 and Ohio’s count increased by one to 14.
